Money in Motion Won the Chair's Award at the 19th Annual Bell Business Excellence Award in Sudbury Ontario

Money in Motion was proud to be a part of this year’s 19^th annual Bell Excellence Award. The award was given to ten unique Sudbury entrepreneurs and businesses by the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce at a Gala event held on May 12, 2016. With over 450 business people from across the community in attendance, this year was the Gala’s largest event yet!

The Bell Business Excellence Award

Sponsored by Bell Canada and established in 1997, the Bell Business Excellence Award is a way for the Sudbury community to pay tribute to the local business and entrepreneurs that have helped shape the city. There are approximately 9000 businesses across the region that are eligible for nomination. This year, there were over 130 nominations across all 10 categories. Award categories are as follows:

Awards are given to successful local entrepreneurs and businesses for both their contribution to the local economy and their dedicated community involvement. Award winners are considered positive role models for the entire community.

With so many wonderful business people in the community all working hard to make the greater Sudbury area a better place, simply being nominated for a Bell Excellence Award is a great honour. Money in Motion was very proud to be this year’s winner of the Chair’s Award.

Sponsored by the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation the Chair’s Award is the Bell Excellence Award’s most prestigious honour. The entire team at Money in Motion was privileged to be this year’s recipient of the Chair’s Award. We were chosen to receive this award not only for our business successes but also for our passionate dedication to the Sudbury community through local charitable organizations like Operation Smile and the KIXC for Kids campaign.

A Company Involved in the Community

KIXC for Kids is an annual “Radiothon” held in support of Health Sciences North Pediatrics. This year, Money in Motion and the team from KICX 91.7 aimed to reach their goal of $250,000 to support the renovation and expansion of the current pediatric treatment room located at Health Sciences North.

This year’s “Radiothon” ran over the course of May 6^th and 7^th at the New Sudbury Centre and included live performances from Larry Berrio, Mike Trudell, Cory Marquardt, Andrew Hyatt and CCMA female artist of the year Jess Moskaluke! The New Sudbury Centre was also home to plenty of games and prizes for people of all ages to enjoy.

Money in Motion holds a very special place for KICKX for kids in our hearts and wanted to give back to the Sudbury community and the NEO Kids Foundation pediatric program.

Money in Motion is also proud to be a part of Operation Smile, a charity organization started in 1982 by Dr. William that, together with a group of medical volunteers, help children with cleft lips and cleft palates.
